Responsible for maintaining all cash posting. Responsible opening all mail and preparing bank deposit daily.

Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining all cash posting. Responsible opening all mail and preparing bank deposit daily.
- Checks accuracy of payments from insurance company
- Notes contact with insurance companies or patients in business charts and computer
- If it is determined that a refund is due to the insurance company, completes refund-request form with supporting documentation, copy of EOB, etc., and submits to business office manager
- Administer on-line insurance websites
- Preparation of daily bank deposit
- Review daily payments for accuracy of depositing
- Run balancing tape for daily deposit
- Post payments and contractual allowances
- Preforms electronic batch posting
- Identify billing errors, such as needed changes in procedures or policies and reports to business manager for correction of such
- Review insurance newsletters and websites for updates
Qualifications:
Required
- Training or courses in business office activities
Preferred
- Collection/billing certification
