Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and researches the credit and debit card reports for exceptions requiring manual posting to a member’s account. Provides verbal authorizations to merchants when electronic authorizations are unavailable.
- Verifies and processes the card order file daily, reviews and processes reports, assists members with Card Activation, locked PIN’s, PIN reminders, travel memos, adding and removing blocks, follows up with our members when a Falcon alert is generated, to maximize credit and debit card usage and minimize fraudulent transactions daily.
- Reviews CAMS alerts and completes all necessary forms; follows SCCU procedures and regulations established by Visa and MasterCard, related to disputed transactions, charge-backs, re-presentments, lost or stolen cards and fraudulent activity within the established time frames to minimize fraud on the member’s account and prevent further losses to SCCU.
- Researches discrepancies reported by staff or members, in a timely manner, using the Fiserv Client Central web-site for credit/debit cards, to initiate the necessary corrective action. Informs staff or the member of the action taken, to comply with Regulation E and VISA/MasterCard Regulations.
- Processes various card related transactions to include: EFT settlement exceptions, Late Fee refunds, credit card payment and cash advance reversals, Life & Disability cancellations/refunds, closing a credit card, releasing a secured credit card, cash-back accruals, and any other card related transaction or maintenance tasks assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 to 12 months prior experience in customer service/support. Previous debit and credit card processing experience preferred.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Other Special Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of SCCU credit card lending criteria, products, rates, processes, procedures and policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit card regulations.
- Ability to effectively use spreadsheet, database and word processing software as well as other credit card specific software.
- Ability to analyze and research credit card transactions.
Salary : $30,600 - $38,700
