SSI is seeking a Spacecraft Systems Engineer to support a very dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. In this role, you will provide Systems Engineering & Acquisition support to critical programs.
\n- Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks in an integrated office environment
- Participate in full lifecycle acquisition and Systems Engineering activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout
- Develop productive relationships with Contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts
- Author, review, and coordinate documents, briefings, and data to aid the Government in communications and decision-making
- Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor reviews to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments
- Plan, coordinate, and execute SE-related forums and meetings within the Customer office and Enterprise
- Interface and coordinate with other organizations in the Enterprise to support Enterprise integration, events, and reviews
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
- Bachelor's and 5 years related experience; Masters and 3 years related experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
- Proficient at program/project management within the customer organization
- Available to travel domestically
- Experience with NRO satellite systems
