The Position
This position is offered as an in office position. Hybrid opportunities can be discussed after one year of employment.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the creation and the delivery of timely financial statements to clients. This position will also review financial statements completed by other staff members and assist in the training of accountants and accounting clerks.
What you will do
• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple small business clients
• Discuss operational issues with small business owners included, but not limited to sales, gross profit, reduction of expenses and benchmarking
• Compile Cash Flow Projections and Budget for clients
• Organizational skills that will support meeting monthly client deadlines
• Build a good rapport with clients and co-workers to expand current relationships
• Manage a multiple client work environment
• Assist in development of others
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5-8 years of experience in Accounting (Public Accounting Experience or Inventory Accounting Experience is a plus
• Knowledge of accounting systems such as Greentree, Peachtree, and QuickBooks
• Organizational skills that support meeting monthly client deadlines and the ability to handle various responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups & Pivot Tables)
