What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team. In this role you will contribute to monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries, data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and budgeting & forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and maintain the integrity of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the daily operations of accounts payable and receivable, cash management, bank interactions, credit card oversight, and internal checks and balances, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the general ledger with responsibilities including monthly financial closings, expense accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of related financial reports.
- Analyze financial data and produce clear, accurate financial reports, communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements effectively.
- Develop budgets by setting schedules, gathering, analyzing, and consolidating financial information, and making recommendations for financial planning.
- Contribute to the enhancement and development of organizational policies and procedures, leveraging internal systems and technology to improve operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and manage tax filings.
- Provide strategic financial insights and support for evaluating potential partnerships, acquisitions, mergers, and investments, including conducting due diligence and financial modeling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
