Senior Project Control Analyst (DoD Programs – TS/SCI Required)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Control Analyst to support high-visibility Department of Defense programs. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive project controls support across cost, schedule, and performance management in a classified environment. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with DoD contracting, Earned Value Management (EVM), and financial analysis, and thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven programs.
An active TS/SCI clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project controls activities for one or more DoD contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements
- Develop, analyze, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance reports
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, including CPI/SPI tracking, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) development
- Support monthly and quarterly program reviews, providing clear, actionable insights to program management and executive leadership
- Monitor contract funding, burn rates, and labor utilization; identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Finance, Accounting, and Contracts teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and submit required customer deliverables, including CDRLs and ad hoc financial reports
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DoD financial management standards
- Support audits and data calls as required in a classified environment
- Mentor junior project control or financial analysts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 8 years of project controls, program finance, or financial analysis experience within a DoD government contracting environment
- Strong working knowledge of EVM principles and DoD cost reporting requirements
- Proven experience supporting cost-type and/or hybrid DoD contracts
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with project controls or ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Cobra, SAP, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a classified setting
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting intelligence community or highly classified DoD programs
- Familiarity with DCMA and DCAA oversight
- Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (PMP, EVMP, or similar)
- Experience briefing senior government and contractor leadership
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
