What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator - 2nd Shift position at Spirax Sarco?
Spirax Sarco is looking for a 2nd shift CNC operator, to work on the 2nd shift, from Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm to 2am.
Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift.
Essential Job Functions:
Set up, change over, load parts, and operate specified CNC machines to required standards. Complete tasks as directed by operating schedules.

Record and report on machine malfunctions to aid in preventative maintenance

Other Job Functions:
1.
Set-up mills and lathes
Adjust three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices
Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
Recognize and contribute to productivity improvements
Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulation

Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Document actions by completing production and quality logs
Job Requirements:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of CNC setter operator machining experience
Specialized Skills:
Prefer technical training and accreditation in CNC machines
