This position is located at The District's Treatment Services location , has a dayshift schedule of Monday to Thursday from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM, and Friday from 6 : 00 AM to 11 : 30 AM, and starts at $22.20 per hour.

What you'll be doing
The medical assistant will be responsible for performing both administrative and routine clinical tasks within the medical setting of Treatment Services in collaboration with the OTP providers, medical director, medical manager, dispensing nurses, and division director.
The medical assistant will assist with daily administrative activities that keep the clinic running efficiently as well as perform a variety of clinical tasks and work under the direction of registered nurses and waivered providers.
Some Essential Functions Include :
- Obtains vital signs, height and weight, history of present illness (HPI), and past medical history (PMH) on patients prior to the patient meeting with a provider
- Retrieves lab results and provides results to the Nurse Case Manager or ordering provider
- Uses the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) system to retrieve prescription records for all new patients and for annual patient exams prior to their appointment with the provider, then provides the information to the provider for review
- Performs EKGs for new clients, annual exams, and at the discretion of the ARNPs, medical director, or medical manager
- Performs venipuncture for routine lab draws on all new clients
- Manages patient record requests received from providers, assuring proper Release of Information procedures are followed when communicating with outside facilities

What we need from you
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant Registered or Certified License
Preferred Qualifications :
Two years of experience working in a primary medical clinic or with substance abuse individuals
