RATE OF PAY: $11.00/HR. TIPS *Possible 0% - 3% Increase After 90 Days.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Beverage Manager. This position serves beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Prepares beverages for other servers to supply to guests and act as a cashier for the lounge.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Bartender License, Certification in T.I.P.S., (Training in Intervention Procedures for Servers of Alcohol) and Responsible Beverage Servers Certificate within thirty (30) days of employment. Must attend Food Safety training (in-house with Training & Development department). Highly motivated and energetic personality. Six (6) months bartending experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Work is generally performed in a bar, lounge setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Must have good communication skills and be friendly and congenial with guests and staff. Must be able to meet the math requirements. Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds for stocking bars and changing soda.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the Food Service and Beverage department operations at all times. Maintain stock, bar levels, proper set-up of the bar and store perishable items daily to ensure product quality. Ensure food items are stored, distributed and served at the appropriate temperatures under sanitary conditions. Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner; promote and document orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Receive cash and chips from customers, make change as needed, verify and record charges in order to balance all money. Verify, balance and reconcile daily deposits and paperwork. Deposit cash drops and secure bank. Bartenders may be used to run Sportsbook terminals to process wager tickets (training will be provided).
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
