We are a district that serves over 6,000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Primary responsible will be answering phone call and providing health services within the School Health Program including first aid to sick and injured students and staff and assisting with various health screenings.
Assignment: This assignment will be 60 school days and assigned to elementary buildings.
Schedule: This position will be Monday-Friday, 6.5 hours per day, at designated times dependent on which building assigned.
Wages: $15.65/hour
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of post secondary education; excellent clerical skills, experience in administering First Aid and CPR; Licensed Practical Nurse or comparable experience; have working knowledge of various medical equipment including but not limited to nebulizers, glucometers, glucagon, epi-pens, peak flow meters, audiometer, tympanonmeters, and inhalers possess respectful, empathetic listening and communication skills with students, families and staff.
