Truck Shop Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our busy workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance. This role requires excellent leadership skills to manage a team of mechanics while ensuring high-quality service and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep up with service schedules
• Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary, writing work orders
• Coordinate with dispatchers to have work done on trucks in the shop
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working order.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving shop efficiency and performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a shop environment.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work culture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A valid driver's license may be required for certain roles within this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
