DAPER is searching for an organized, engaging, customer-focused, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Human Resources Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources Operations (“Director”), the Human Resources Coordinator will provide direct human resources operational and administrative support to various DAPER departments, with a focus on contingent employee hiring. The Human Resources Coordinator will work with the Director and Assistant Directors to implement, communicate, and serve as a resource for human resources policies, procedures, and practices. A successful candidate will work well independently and with the team, manage multiple tasks and projects, is responsive, highly organized, and has a high sense of urgency. This role is great for someone who thrives in a constantly evolving work environment. This position is based on the Stanford main campus, with the opportunity for telecommuting.
Your responsibilities include:
Contingent Employee Life Cycle
- Manage the recruitment process for contingent (casual/temporary/students) including job postings, interview scheduling, and applicant disposition with hiring managers, human resources staff, and/or supervisors.
- Support and coordinate employment activities (transactions and documentation) for contingent employees. Coordinate onboarding and exit process of contingent employees.
- Assist with the recruitment process for benefits-eligible employees as needed, including the onboarding and exit process of staff and coaches.
Human Resources Administration
- Serve as a resource to DAPER staff on human resources issues, effectively communicate human resources policies, and explain human resources processes and procedures. Resolve basic issues as appropriate. Refer other issues to the Assistant Directors or Director for resolution.
- Coordinate and perform HRIS data management activities, including initiating transactions and running reports for compliance, audit, and metrics purposes. Ensure data integrity, and serve as primary contact for identifying and resolving pay issues.
- Serve as DAPER’s Time and Leave Administrator (TLA) for department timecards.
- Assist with and explain applicable workers’ compensation, disability and leave procedures, and generate related correspondence; update and maintain reports to track leaves and worker’s compensation documentation.
- Assist in the communication of the annual performance appraisal process; review and track incoming performance appraisal forms.
- Maintain personnel and human resources related files.
- Provide general administrative support for human resources staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Associate degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, follow-through, critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Ability to learn and apply general human resources policies using problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with human resource management systems, such as PeopleSoft and time/leave systems. Experience using email and the internet.

Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.
The expected pay range for this position is $61,000 - $73,000 per annum.
