Full Time High School Lead Teacher - Fall 2025

Full Time Head Teacher, High School for Fall 2025 Star Academy, a non-profit, non-public school, located in San Rafael, CA, serving students with learning differences in grades 3-post-secondary, is seeking a Full-Time, High School Lead Teacher for Fall 2025.? This teacher would be leading a high school special day class of up to 9 students with moderate learning differences. This teacher will lead functional academics in ELA, Math and Social Studies as well as support instruction with functional living skills (cooking, budgeting, travel training and pre-vocational skills). The teaching team in this classroom includes assistant teachers and a team of specialists with expertise in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Behavior, Assistive technology, and Transition/Living Skills. Undergraduate college degree. Experience working with students with learning differences in an educational setting. Experience with IEP documents and the IEP process Strong classroom management skills. Strong communication skills.
