Job Description: This position will serve to implement the technical solution designs for the enterprise back-up & recovery infrastructure. Configure, implement, install upgrade, support and maintain backup/recovery systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires the understanding of data protection technologies. It requires an entry level degree of technical skill, initiative, creativity and broad-based understanding of many technology areas. All activities require strict adherence to department policies and procedures as well as industry best practices. This entry level position will involve constant coordination and consultation with senior level specialists and administrators within the division and other teams. This position also requires a basic understanding and working knowledge of data protection networking protocols, and standards, the ability to analyze problems in the environment and provide solutions. This position must have a basic understanding of peripheral technologies and network security compliance. This position must maintain familiarity with and understand the application of FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, IRS, NIST, and PCI- regulatory guidelines and security competencies. This PD will comply with and meet the security competencies in alignment with approved senior standards. This position must apply access control permissions along with applying security controls in accordance with project and/or OS build standards.
IT Signing Bonus Language
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
Experience
No specific type or amount is required.Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11 - 12
Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.
OR
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.Certain positions may require certification in specific information technology programs.
