The Communications Coordinator will perform professional work in the coordination, development, and disseminations of information that promotes and supports the mission of Student Health Services activities, initiatives, and health promotion. This includes coordinating content among all social media platforms and programs, disseminating electronic newsletter communications, as well as designing promotional materials, and working university outreach events. This position requires some evenings and weekend work.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.Bachelors degree in public relations, marketing, or graphic; plus 2 years of experience managing social media, writing, and college health promotion. Experience with video and/or audio production. An understanding of how to create and provide accessible printed and virtual communications & training materials.Knowledge of grammar, composition, and style of writing for public distribution. Ability to plan, organize, edit, and present written information for publication production. Knowledge of web development techniques and processes is a plus. Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external relationships. Knowledge of various software products to include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Office products. Ability to independently learn and assimilate new software products and technology as needed.EEO Statement
