What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technology Instructor position at State of South Carolina?

York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.  

The Industrial Maintenance Technology Instructor has primary instructional responsibilities in:

  • Teaching day, evening, or weekend lecture and/or laboratory classes
  • Providing student advising
  • Participation in instructional development and community college seminars
  • Other duties as required.
Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of work experience, or an equivalent combination of professional certification, work experience, and academic course work.  Previous experience teaching at the (2) two-year college level is preferred. 

Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen-Bradley RS500 and RS5000/Studio5000, Koyo Click, and Siemens S7-200/S7-1200), Electronic Variable Speed Drives, HMI Programming, Piping Systems, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Automated Manufacturing Equipment Integration, Fanuc and Kuka Robotics & Integration,  Industry 4.0, Mechanical Power Transmission, Vibration Analysis.  Applicants indicating degree(s) on the application are required to provide unofficial copies of transcripts in the application process and official transcript upon hire.
