What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Deputy Title IX Coordinator (Temporary) position at State of South Carolina?
Midlands Technical College's General Counsel's office is searching for a part-time qualified paralegal or law clerk to provide technical and paralegal services on a part-time basis for Midlands Technical College's General Counsel. The successful candidate will provide legal support including drafting legal documents, preparing correspondence, updating calendars, and assisting with Freedom of Information Act responses. The role also requires active involvement in the Title IX process, as the individual selected for this role will serve as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and will be cross-trained as a Title IX Advisor and/or Investigator.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
A high school diploma and experience in providing administrative support for an attorney(s) or a legal office.
A paralegal degree and/or certificate.
Knowledge of personal computers and word processing.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Title IX, relevant laws and regulations.
Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public and co-workers orally and in writing.
Salary : $16 - $18
