Job Duties:
- The County Admin Support Specialist II performs a variety of routine and advanced clerical functions. Exercises judgment and uses knowledge of operations, programs, and general office procedures to make independent decisions in assisting the staff and clients in front office setting. Performs general social work duties related to the administration of the SNAP and TANF program in the Economic Services Division in the Abbeville County office to help restore or improve customer financial stability.
- Performs telephone and window receptionist duties for entire office and unlocks/locks front doors at opening/closing of business. Provides assistance in a timely and professional manner and directs/answers client inquiries about programs/services to proper staff. Returning phone calls as required. Receives, opens, logs and runs postage on mail.
- Responsible for processing SNAP/TANF applications, annual and semiannual renewals, accommodating paperwork, and DSS client case printouts. Makes copies of supporting documentation and scans into SCOSA and rotate work according to RSW procedures. Solves procedural problems using CHIP and SCOSA.
- Receives payments and writes receipts for all overpayment claims. Prepares cash logs for all incoming monies and completes bank reconciliation monthly. Functions as back up for EBT / Vehicle Coordinator and Acumatica system.
- Receives, opens, stamps, and distributes all drop box and incoming mail to appropriate individuals or folders in SCOSA, and prepares outgoing and courier mail daily.
- To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed of. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.
- Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter/services as directed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Performs job delivery and /or performance with positive or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public and co-workers as an integral requirement.
An Associate Degree in secretarial science or a related field.
A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements. Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words a minute.
