Some of what you'll do:
- Conduct interviews with potential customers to explain VR programs
- Process application Information and schedule client appointments to meet with VRC’s
- Assist in collecting diagnostic information to be used in determining eligibility
- Assist VRC’s in monitoring customer progress towards achieving their employment goals
- Gather information needed for the VRC to develop the Individual Plan for Employment, including assistance contacting, and selecting vendors
- Register vendors that provide goods and services to DVR customers
- Prepare correspondence to customers, vendors, and others
- Maintain electronic and paper case files
- Assist with general office coverage and support, including answering telephones, providing reception, distributing mail, and other similar tasks
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Can develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Experience using MS Word, Outlook, and internet browsers
- Record keeping experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Can organize and track large volumes of caseload information and related documentation within defined timeframes
- Team player who understands the importance of collaboration with community partners and co-workers
