As an IT Application Developer, your role will be essential in providing support for our driver and vehicle system (DRIVES). Your expertise in system web services, interface processes, database management, and application development techniques will be utilized to the fullest extent. Proficiency in C#, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and related libraries such as jQuery will be invaluable in the delivery of solutions using these technologies. You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to the analysis, design, consultation, development, quality assurance, and implementation of the system. In addition to providing external interface support through the development and maintenance of new interfaces, you will also assist with Secure File Transfer (SFT) and providing support to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
Some of what you will do:
- Work with application development supervisors and solution architects to improve technical standards and documentations.
- Perform complex analysis, research, design, troubleshooting, and development on projects using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Ensure solutions meet quality standards.
- Conduct code reviews.
- Coordinate team members and vendors for development and testing.
What you will bring:
- Eight (8) years of combined relevant education and/or experience in analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications and databases.
Associates degree = 2 years | Bachelor’s degree = 4 years | Master's degree = 5 years
- Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Developer and/or Engineer
- One (1) year of software development experience with FAST Enterprises and GENTAX products
- Prior to a new hire, a background check including Abstract Drive Record and criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform in the position.
