Patient Access Supervisor – Patient Access – Full Time
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO, that focuses on personalized care. What To Expect As a Patient Access Supervisor
- Oversee daily admitting and patient registration operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant patient access services.
- Supervise pre-service and admitting staff, support patient flow, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote excellent customer service while maintaining data integrity and financial accuracy.
- Responsible for training, coaching, and evaluating pre-service and access staff.
- Collaborate with nursing, case management, finance and clinical departments to support patient flow.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as registration accuracy, wait times, and denial rates.
- Assist with audits, quality improvement initiatives, and process enhancements.
- Present a positive, friendly and caring attitude to all patients, visitors and coworkers.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree required.
- Basic office skills.
- Typing of 65 wpm minimum.
- 2-3 years previous experience in a medical setting.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and medical staff.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and extend excellent customer service.
- Ability to manage time and multitask.
- Strong knowledge of insurance plans, authorization processes, and healthcare terminology.
- Proficient in Meditech and supporting software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
