Position Overview:
Steel City Behavioral Health (SCBH) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Analyst to provide essential behavioral consultation, assessment, and counseling services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, individuals with dual diagnosis, emotional and behavioral disorders. The Behavior Analyst will develop and implement behavior support plans that enable individuals to acquire or maintain appropriate adaptive behaviors, self-management, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the role involves the training and supervision of Behavior Line Staff to ensure the proper implementation of these plans.
The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, knowledgeable, and organized, with a strong ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate leadership. You must be comfortable working independently in a mobile setting, managing client records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. As part of our team, the Behavior Analyst will show initiative in their work, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate with other professionals to provide the highest level of care to individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments, including observing and interviewing staff, performing functional behavioral analysis, and completing written assessments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Behavior Support Plans to address specific challenging behaviors and set clear goals for individuals.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams with outside agencies including case management, day programming, residential and guardians.
- Provide ongoing training to support staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders to implement behavioral interventions effectively.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Adhere to all state, federal, and organizational standards, including maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of personal health information (PHI).
- Ensure all documentation, communication, and interactions remain confidential and follow privacy laws.
- Maintain certification and licensure in good standing and stay current with evidence-based practices in behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in behavioral, social, or health sciences, or education.
- Experience working under the supervision of a certified or licensed Behavioral Services professional.
- ABA or Behavior Experience (PREFERRED)
- Certification as a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Enrollment in a BCBA certification program or
- Completion of a Positive Behavior Supports training program.
- Nationally certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or similar certification.
- MINIMUM of two years of experience in developing and implementing behavioral support plans.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate regularly with other professionals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to different locations.
- Adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Position Details:
- CONTRACT POSITION: Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
- Travel Required: Must have access to reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
- Professional Liability Insurance: REQUIRED to be maintained for the duration of the contract.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stay active, including standing, walking, and engaging in activities with clients for extended periods.
