What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loader position at Steel Tech of the Ozarks, LLC?
Job Title: Loader
Reports to: Plant Manager
Hours: M-Th 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Overtime as needed
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Load scheduled trailers/routes according to shippers / BOL
- Physically inspect product for quality before loading onto trucks
- Palletize orders as needed before loading onto trucks
- Position trailers in warehouse for loading
- Retrieve any product needed from stock racks
- Write up any shorts onto route shipper / BOL that were not loaded for the route
- Load CPUs when necessary
- Label wrapped accessory pallets with accurate information
- Organizing loading department daily
- Unloading material from FEDEX, UPS, etc.
- Unloading coils truck as assigned
- Adherence to work schedule and attendance policy
- Other loading / production duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Preferred:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 year previous experience in a relevant field
Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Lifting 50 lbs
- Climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Very hot, very cold
- Slippery when wet or snow
- Natural weather conditions
