Summary The Case Management Associate is a highly motivated person who works under the direction of the Director of Case Management. He or she assists in the administration of Case Management functions including, under the direction of the Case Manager, preparation of case reviews, payor communication, and critical information tracking. Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience : Must possess a high school diploma or GED Bachelors Degree preferred SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS License Requirements : Certification Requirements : Age Specific Care Provided For : Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following : Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel Microsoft Outlook Meditech (if applicable to position) Epic (if applicable to position) Performance Manager / NetLearning Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must possess skills in typing and phone etiquette. Other Requirements : Must possess current understanding of medical terminology or take a course (as available) during 1st 6 months of employment. Must be able to perform administrative duties and run reports. Must be able to accurately type 30–40 words per minute. Must be able to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in an outcomes and deadline-oriented environment. Must be able to cope effectively with interruptions.
