Job Description
Stepan is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Anaheim team in Anaheim, CA. In this role, you will report to the Regional Quality Assurance Manager. Responsibilities include managing a lab area by leading and coordinating continuous improvement activities for EHS&S, quality, and cost productivity.
- Provide plant wide leadership and influence to improve organizational performance
- Take action to mitigate EHS&S issues, quality concerns and initiate communication as circumstances warrant
- Engage personnel to promote safety, operational improvement, and drive performance
- Lead, promote and maintain safety culture for all area personnel through auditing/feedback, training, and performing safety contacts
- Provide leadership for the daily operations of team members to meet the needs of the customer while supporting department and company financial goals and objectives
- Responsible for area controllable expense budget performance
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years lab experience in a manufacturing setting
Management experience
Must have a strong attention to detail with excellent organization and documentation skills
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Excellent prioritization skills
Interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels
Education
BS Degree or Advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or chemical engineering or related field and 5 years.
