We’re hiring!  Stepp’s Towing and Heavy Transport is looking to fill an immediate need for a Courier/Pilot Car Driver/Lot Attendant.

**Stepp’s Towing and Heavy Transport will pay for applicant’s Pilot Car Certification**

Job Description:

• Responsible for picking up and dropping off paperwork from all the Stepp’s Towing and Heavy Transport lots in Tampa, Gibsonton, Lakeland, Zephyrhills, San Antonio, New Port Richey, Clearwater, and possibly Orlando.
• On call to cover any lot attendant absences.
• Installation of Stepp’s Tow Away Signs.
• Responsible for escorting the trucks to and from pickup and delivery locations
• Responsible for ensuring the safety of the traveling public, prevention of damage to the highway system and load being transported, and the reduction of any undue delay to the normal flow of traffic
• Follow designated route in and out from sites as determined by management, the truck drivers, and oversize overweight permits
• Directs movement of traffic to, from and through site, using amber lights and CB callouts
• Radios other flagger or drivers at opposite end of site, giving clearance for reverse flow of traffic when appropriate
• Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; communicates using CB radio as needed; duties may vary according to job assignment

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
• Great customer service skills
• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, maintain alertness, and maintain flexibility -Utilize Problem Solving Skills, as situations arise
• Excellent communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers, and customers; as well as adapt to changing needs

Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday 7:30-3:30 with occasional Saturdays

Physical Requirements for the Position Include:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing, significant physical strength and stamina.

Pay: $15-$17
