Job Summary And Qualifications
The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing all established echocardiography procedures. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Perform procedures safely and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program. RDS eligible or registered.
Licensure: Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
Certification: BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of echo experience. Vascular experience preferred.
