What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Junior Buyer position at Story Cannabis?
Job Description
The retail junior buyer is responsible for administrative support for all purchasing activity within our Maryland, New Jersey and Ohio markets.
- Builds purchase orders and/or creates orders in Leaflink, Leaftrade or excel menus
- Helps investigate inventory and pricing /costing control issues with retail
- Verifies order paperwork including testing results, licensing, invoices and manifests
- Manages order documentation including order trackers
- Communicates with vendors regarding delivery or order concerns, incorrect deliveries, rejections, past due or overdue invoices
- Ensures accuracy of all invoices, items, and costs prior to orders being delivered
- Communicates delivery schedules to retail stores and helps coordinate logistics
- Acts in a customer service role to retail for any administrative process inside of 3rd party procurement
- Actively builds positive relationships with retail inventory managers, associates and vendors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in cannabis retail or purchasing
- Experience with Excel, Sharepoint, METRC, LeafTrade/LeafLink and Dutchie
- Ability to use the computer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage high stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- Proper employment documentation.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends, if requested.
- Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture preferred.
- Willingness to travel to events, vendor meetings, new store openings, etc.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, or walking for extended periods.
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required.
