What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Administrator position at StratasCorp?
Our team in Pensacola, FL has an immediate need for a Linux Administrator with demonstrated experience performing Linux maintenance and administrative tasks on a complex enterprise-scale network. Primary responsibilities include:
* Diagnose and repair Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 and newer operating systems
* Perform day-to-day monitoring and maintenance for Linux Systems including authoritative and recursive DNS, firewalls, and databases
* Review and update STIG requirements and checklists and remediate/document findings as needed
* Diagnose and repair remote Linux systems running in a VMWare environment
* Troubleshoot and maintain numerous applications running on Linux systems including DNS, NTP, and Postfix
* Most possess current IAT II-compliant security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have 5 years or more experience supporting Linux servers in an enterprise environment, with recent experience in the past 3 years
This position is located in Pensacola, FL. This is NOT a Remote/Hybrid/Work from Home position. The candidate will be in the office daily
