JOB TITLE: Operations Support Watch Officer Intermediate
REQUISITION #: AL-1293-24-WOI
CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret to Top Secret/SCI clearance
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL
REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Operations Support Watch Officer Intermediate to support Warfighter Operational Integration work with the Missile Defense Agency. This position is on-site and will work M-F from 12-8pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Ideal candidates will have experience in: collecting, analyzing and reporting operational readiness data and impacts, collecting and disseminating critical incidents and significant events, understanding and communicating asset management and configuration management impacts on a major weapon system and assessing information and making critical decisions.

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5 years’ experience analyzing and reporting operational activities
  • 2 years’ experience leading complex teams in an operational environment
COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
