Stratford Homes, LP, has been the leader of highly customized modular homes since 1973 and is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill a critical role on our team. The Cost Analyst and Estimator is responsible for determining the project costs for new construction projects, estimating cost impacts of materials and labor, and providing pricing guidance. The Cost Analyst and Estimator also collect and analyze information to assess products and services costs for assigned departments and projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide base and custom home pricing to Sales and Builder network.
- Estimates the cost of new and proposed products and services in the assigned departments, areas, or projects.
- Analyze market and internal changes to the products and services offered.
- Provide detailed reports that include breakdowns of project costs.
- Documents material and labor cost data and uses statistical procedures to perform analysis.
- Expand and maintain a pricing database for material and labor costs.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget to determine standard costs.
- Assist in bi-annual “Work in progress” (WIP) costing to assist with our inventory process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in Residential Construction and/or knowledge of building materials
- Quickly perform take-offs from blueprints
- Work with Sales and Purchasing teams.
- Participate in discussions with our key vendors and suppliers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree.
- At least three years of related experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
