Preschool Dance Instructor/ Director

Join Our Team at Studio 55 School of Dance!
For over 15 years, Studio 55 has been the heart of Hillsdale County’s dance community. We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Preschool Dance Instructor / Director to lead our beloved preschool program, Bloom, and introduce our youngest dancers to the joy of movement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee our preschool dance program (ages 2–5)
• Create age-appropriate lesson plans that foster creativity, confidence, and coordination
• Teach engaging classes in a positive, supportive environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and studio leadership
• Support performances and special events as needed
• If a director, oversee all instructors who lead pre-school classes

Schedule & Commitment:

• Weekday evenings starting at 4:00 PM or later
• Some weekend mornings starting at 9:00 AM
• Season runs September 2026 – mid-May 2027, with opportunities for summer camps
• Long-term commitment preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching preschool or early childhood dance
• Background in early childhood education (preferred but not required)
• Passion for working with young children

• Is creative and playful, while still providing structure and consistency
• Communicates clearly and kindly with both children and parents
• Is reliable, organized, and takes pride in being a role model
• Understands (or is excited to learn about) early childhood development
• Loves helping young dancers build confidence, coordination, and joy through movement

Pay: $17.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
