Detailer Responsibilities Include:
- Vacuuming and washing the interior and exterior of vehicles.
- Ensure that the quality of service (vehicle preparation, timeliness) consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations.
- Work jointly with the Quality Inspection department to ensure cosmetic quality.
- Ensure all necessary vehicle cleaning/prep supplies are readily on hand.
- Record worked hours on a per-vehicle basis.
- Operate with a high degree of care and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with GLS shop personnel.
- Coordinate between departments to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform special tasks or be involved in special projects as required.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (required).
- Must have a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Must have 1-3 years of previous detailing experience.
- Proven consistent work history.
- Physical fitness and flexibility enable candidates to be on their feet or inside of vehicles for most of the workday.
- Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be a reliable team player.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work overhead, kneel, squat, or work from compromising positions for short periods.
- 75% of the time this job will be completed while standing.
- 25% of the time this job will be completed while walking, sitting, and cramped or in confined spaces.
- Requires working outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
