Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for a seasonal, full-time Gondola Operations Supervisor to assist the Gondola Manager with supervising the operation of the gondola and to ensure the safe and effective transportation of passengers and freight.
Sugar Bowl Resort has been proudly independent for over 80 years and is one of the oldest ski resorts in California. Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. What you will do
- Support the Manager in scheduling and timekeeping of gondola operators
- Ensure gondola operators are on the job on time and in uniform
- Ensure that they adhere to all company policies and fulfill the job duties listed in their job descriptions
- Outline daily duties for Leads and Operators in the absence of the Manager
- Help guests load and unload, including personal belongings
- Maintenance of all areas of gondola building and gondola cabins
- Assisting homeowners and hotel guests with luggage and personal items
- Familiarity with Sugar Bowl Resort and ability to answer guest questions
- Participate in the snow removal efforts in and around the gondola buildings during and after storms
- Must work closely with Lift Maintenance , Village Services and Hotel Department to ensure efficiencies in guest services and maintenance
- Monitor staffing levels and expenses, staying in-line with the budget
- Conduct safety meetings on a regular basis and follow-up on on-the-job injuries
- Ensure the team attends employee Orientations
- Other duties as assigned
