Gondola Operator, Supervisor

Sugar Bowl Resort Gondola Supervisor to assist the Gondola and Garage Manager assume all Gondola and Garage Manager duties in his absence.  Supervise the operation of the gondola and garage to ensure the safe and effective transportation of passengers and freight.  Assist Manager to hire, train, motivate and discipline staff of 30 operators and 5 garage attendants. Assist parking as needed.

What you will do

• Assist with scheduling of gondola operators and garage attendants
• Ensure gondola operators and garage attendants are on the job on time and in uniform.  Ensure that they adhere to all company policies and fulfill the job duties listed in their job descriptions.
• Daily outline of duties for Leads and Operators in the absence of the Manager.
• Helping guests load and unload, including personal belongings
• Maintenance of all areas of gondola building and gondola cabins
• Assisting homeowners and hotel guests with luggage and personal items.
• Familiarity with Sugar Bowl and ability to answer guest questions
• Snow removal in and around the gondola buildings during and after storms
• Must work closely with Lift Maintenance Manager, Village Services Manager and Hotel Manager.
• Monitor staffing levels and expenses, staying in-line with the budgeted numbers.
• Conduct safety meetings on a regular basis and follow-up on on-the-job injuries.
• Must attend employee Orientation and ensure crew attends Orientation
