Join our SULZER team within Services division in United States as Mechanic - Turbo Services to help us take TURBO SERVICES to the next level.
Shift:
Working hours will be determined by work load and shift coverage needs. Typically, Day Shift will start at 5:00AM and ends between 1:30PM and 5:00PM;
Night Shift will start between 3:30PM and 5:00PM and will end between 12:00AM and 5:00AM.
In this role you will be accountable for:
Observing Company Safety Policy and Procedures; follow and support all Safety Policies and ISO Procedures
Assemble machines utilizing the specified assembly checklist
Disassemble and inspect machines utilizing the specified disassembly and inspection checklist
Complete all documentation pertaining to the work assignment
Communicate mechanical issues found during inspection to the appropriate Department Supervisor
Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Mechanical personnel, Supervisor and Leads
Be on the job site and in your assigned work area at the schedule time
Keep work area clear and well organized during all phases of the project
Have / Maintain ability to operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts
Maintain LEAN objectives within the department
Must follow the dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times
Maintain accurate timesheets/clocking in & out on a daily basis
Complete company-required training programs
Surface grind parts in the Grind Shop
Steam clean and wash parts in the Wash Bay
Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures.
Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents.
Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed, or where an assessment is not available or understood.
Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager.
Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Experience working with turbo machinery repair, engine repair, and/or a similar type of work
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
Must be able to use precision measuring instruments
Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks or ability to acquire them
