Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor manages the organization, scheduling of manpower, and directing of the warehouse on a day-to-day work plan directed by the Warehouse Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety, quality and data accuracy across all teams (kitting, receiving and material handling).
- Ensures all equipment is maintained and documented daily.
- Ensures the warehouse is maintained and cleaned and meets all OSHA/EPA standards.
- Ensures safety standards of OSHA, state and local regulations comply.
Required Experience & Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-5 years warehouse experience
- Fork Lift Certified
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, motivational and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong math skills and attention to detail - must pass Summit Math Test
- Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment and ability to take decisive action
- Adhere to company safety standards
Mathematical Ability:
- Strong math skills and attention to detail .
Certificates and Licenses:
- Fork Lift Certified
Work Environment:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work often requires “after hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures. Employee will work in an area where there is moving warehouse equipment.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
