We are seeking a skilled Lead Field Decommission Technician to oversee a team to perform hands-on dismantling and removal of equipment, infrastructure, and materials from operational sites across our nationwide territories, with a primary focus on the Midwest/South region (ideal candidates based in Kansas). This role requires up to 80% travel, a strong mechanical background, and the ability at times to work in demanding conditions while adhering to strict safety and environmental protocols. - Lead a team to dismantle and remove equipment, infrastructure, and materials from operational sites using hand-held plasma cutters and Atomic Oxygen (AO) equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators and telehandlers, ensuring safe and efficient task completion.
- Work extended shifts in physically demanding environments, maintaining productivity and professionalism.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, participating in the company’s safety program and reporting all accidents or near-misses immediately to the crew leader or superintendent.
- Follow environmental specifications, including spill containment protocols, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Complete assigned work orders and daily tasks as directed by the crew leader or superintendent, meeting project deadlines.
- Safely operate pneumatic, electric and hand tools, as well as industrial equipment, while adhering to capacity and load limits for rolling stock equipment.
