Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate all seed activity at location. Inventory and receivers of product.
• Work with all salespeople for orders that move through the Seed Hub.
• Be able to communicate with salespeople, seed suppliers for deliveries and returns, and with customers
• Coordinate seed deliveries to the farm with assistance from the Operations Manager
• Manage Seed Inventories which includes Long and Shorts
• Knowledge of Seed Products and be able to communicate with walk in traffic
• Be the go-to person for seed and supply issues as they occur
• Responsible for the overall operation, appearance, and maintenance of the Seed Hub which includes Seed Treatment, Bulk Seed System and Package Goods.
• Work with the operations manager for efficient use of employees throughout the year.
• Oversee compliance of mini bulk, and pro-box containers as stated by the EPA and Ohio Department of Agriculture as well as the Liquid Fertilizer system.
Requirements
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• All other duties as assigned
• In off season work with the agronomy location in delivering fertilizer and chemicals
• Be able to confidently operate Dry Fertilizer and Liquid Fertilizer Kahler loadout systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Ability to work long varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Maintain or obtain a Class A CDL with Medical Card.
POTENTIAL HIRE WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A
PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN.
