The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing spa guests with the most current massage or facial treatments and techniques available, while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing spa experience.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with Sunseeker Resorts, state, departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Job Duties
- Provide spa guests with a comfortable, relaxing, and luxury spa experience while ensuring the utmost safety for our guests.
- Perform various massage and body treatment protocols, set forth by training guidelines offered in the spa treatment menu and any additional added services.
- Escort guests to various treatment rooms, relaxation area and restrooms.
- Cater to spa guests’ services using techniques customized to their unique needs.
- Maintain equipment in treatment rooms and report equipment that is broken, damaged and unsafe or that needs immediate repair to Spa Management.
- Complete services promptly in the time allotted while maintaining professional and courteous behavior to all guests and employees.
- Keep treatment room areas, prep room, laundry area and supplies clean and stocked.
- Follow all guidelines of the spa protocol training manual.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. Candidates will need to be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 500 hours from accredited Massage school.
- Current Florida, NCBTMB or MBLEx Massage licensure.
- Minimum of two (2) – five (5) years’ hands-on experience
- Minimum of two (2) – four (4) years’ experience in luxury resort, day spa or hotel environment
Other Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and spa software programs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
- Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
- Possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- A highly motivated and energetic personality.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
