Position Summary: Sunshine Enterprise USA is proud to represent
a leading player in the asphalt and concrete construction industry in Central
Florida seeking skilled Construction General Laborers with successful and progressive experience in performing various manual
tasks associated with construction operations.
Responsibilities:
- Use various hand and power tools as instructed.
- Clean or prepare construction sites to
eliminate possible hazards.
- Excavate by hand ditches or trenches,
backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using
picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
- Position, join, align, or seal structural
components, such as concrete wall sections or pipes.
- Load, unload, or identify building
materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations,
according to project plans or specifications.
- Position or dismantle forms for pouring
concrete, using saws, hammers, etc.
- Complete equipment reports on rack truck,
compressors.
- Organize and maintain tool trailers in a
neat and orderly fashion.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- To
be eligible for consideration, all applicants must possess a valid Driver's
License.
- At least 2 years’ proven experience working with asphalt is necessary.
- 2
to 3 years of Construction Operations experience, Sod work (Landscaping)
experience will be beneficial.
- Must
have knowledge and understanding of the procedures to use the tools and
equipment safely and properly.
- Must
be able to follow verbal instructions.
- Must
have good
vision, stamina, hand-eye coordination, and ability to estimate size and
dimensions.
- Must be able to meet all
safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Able
to work outdoors in dusty or dirty areas.
- Strong
attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Relies
on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
- Adaptive
to different personalities and management styles
- Team
player with good interpersonal skills
- Dedicated
and hardworking.
