The role involves managing geographic software systems, data management, reporting, and user support. The ideal candidate will have expertise in geographic software, spatial data, and database functions like design, extraction, transformation, loading, and modification.
Position Summary: The successful candidate should hold relevant bachelor’s degree and has some relevant experience utilizing GIS technology.
Responsibilities:
· Manage geographic software systems, data management, reporting, and provide support to data users.
· Offer specialized knowledge of geographic software and spatial data.
· Perform administrative database functions including database design, data extraction, transformation, loading, and modification.
· Implement data solutions and work to determine technological GIS needs.
· Develop, schedule, and implement database maintenance plans.
Necessary Attributes:
· Proficiency in geographic information systems (GIS) software.
· Strong data management and database administration skills.
· Advanced knowledge of spatial data and geographic software.
· Experience in database design and implementation.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in GIS data management, database administration, or related roles preferred.
- Previous experience in various sectors utilizing GIS technology preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in GIS, database administration, or related fields preferred.
