Job Summary: Primarily focused on resident education and clinical oversight. The provider will conduct eight clinical sessions per week, exclusively supervising and precepting resident physicians in the care of adult patients, rather than maintaining an individual patient panel. The role includes delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical care through resident oversight, ensuring that patient care meets current standards and best practices. The provider will also offer clear, effective instruction within their area of expertise to medical students, graduate students, and house staff in the Colleges of Medicine and Graduate Studies. Additional responsibilities include active engagement in scholarly research with a consistent record of publication, providing research training to medical, graduate, and post-doctoral students, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The provider is expected to contribute to the mission and goals of SUNY Upstate Medical University by participating in hospital and departmental governance, curriculum development, academic administration, and Medical Service Group meetings. Minimum Qualifications:
MD or foreign equivalent, NYS license or eligible, BC/BE in Internal Medicine
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with general medicine patients in an academic healthcare setting preferred
Work Days:Monday through Friday daytime hours
