Technical Product Writer

Product Writer to join our Web Content department. In this role, you will write technical marketing copy to support our diverse range of LED lighting products, accessories, and solutions. As a Technical Product Writer, you will craft compelling and grammatically precise long-form and short-form technical content for various communication materials. These include website product and category pages, design guides, and other printed documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background and a passion for creating clear, concise, and engaging content.

Responsibilities:
Write product descriptions, feature highlights, and technical specifications for marketing collateral, websites, and sales materials.
Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity and coherence while regularly reviewing and updating existing documentation to reflect product updates, new features, and new industry standards.
Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand content for diverse audiences, including end-users, installers, and sales professionals.
Work collaboratively with Product Managers and the marketing team to turn complex, technical features, and product benefits into simple selling points.
Work collaboratively with the Web Content team to execute strategy into content creation.
Proactively identify existing copywriting gaps, additional opportunities, and ways to improve copy.
Create digital copy that is SEO optimized, consistent in style and tone, and aligned with business objectives, brand, and marketing messaging.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, marketing, or communications.
2 years of experience in writing preferred. Technical writing and/or product writing experience is a bonus.Portfolio of work demonstrating rich, compelling, and unique writing samples for products or services is preferred
Familiarity with SEO tools and best practices is a bonus,
Online research skills with the ability to follow and track relevant data.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Excellent strategic thinking skills and ability to apply them to content writing.
