Part-Time Accounting and Admin Clerk (20-30 hrs/week)

SWD Inc. a Metal Finishing Operation in Addison, IL, is currently looking for someone to join our Finance Team. 

About Us: 

SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. facility built by Delawder Construction and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting industry, SWD Inc. has over 200 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 200,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois. 

We are a family owned business and essential to the supply chain. Our employees have been on site working through out the pandemic with Zero Lay-offs. 

We are currently in need of a qualified and responsible individual to help with some of the daily responsibilities of the accounting and administration department.  This is a flexible part-time position ideal for someone with a positive attitude who wants to work and provide value in a casual but friendly drug-free work environment. 

Job Duties Include:

• Pulling paperwork for daily invoicing
• Apply Customer Payments to customer accounts within our ERP system
• Sending invoices & statements and following up on delinquent customer payments
• Entering accounts payable invoices into our accounting system (Sage/MAS 90)
• Filing
• Scanning documentation into our archive system
• Filling in for receptionist as needed
• Other duties as required.

The right applicant will have the following skills:

• Willing to work in a Manufacturing Environment; While this job is mostly in the office, the right applicant should be willing to jump in and help other departments as needed and should be comfortable on a Plant Floor.

• Strong Attention to Detail
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
• Working knowledge of A/P and A/R accounting applications
• Fluent English
