What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Merchandise Planner position at Swoon?
Swoon is hiring for our Clothing & Beauty Retail Client in Reynoldsburg, OH and this will be a hybrid role with 3x a week onsite (Tuesday - Thursday).
This is a 4-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium covered for contractor).
Job Duties
- Responsible for translating the Merchant’s vision into viable plans and profitable results.
- Develops and maintains sales, inventory and margin plans that tie to financial targets for an assigned book of business.
- Planning responsibilities will include Sub-Brand, Category/Class, and assortment plans.
- Partners with the Merchant & Planner to optimize the assortment by cluster and channels of distribution (Stores, Internet, Catalogue, Wholesale).
- Collaborate with the Demand Forecaster to ensure that demand plans incorporate statistically based forecasts, merchandise plans and business knowledge.
- Typically reports to Manager Planning & Demand Forecasting.
