Job Purpose:
Supports Sycuan’s data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into analytical solutions, and help drive operational and strategic improvements across the enterprise.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial and business reports, recommendations, and analysis:
- Compile organizational performance data and develop performance reports with meaningful metrics.
- Develop summary of findings and provide recommendations to the manager of Enterprise Analytics
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports in accordance with department and company needs, and best practices.
- Partner with departments to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business recommendations.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and processes to ensure transparency and repeatability.
- Support data governance and quality initiatives.
- Effectively leverages storytelling to communicate insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics or Finance or related field or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience with R and/or Python is a strong plus.
- Experience in gaming and/or hospitality analytics
- MBA or other graduate level degree
