Kennel Assistant
Part - Time
16.50-17.01 hourly
The role of Kennel Assistant is an entry level position designed to offer support for the Boarding department, to assist hospital staff in housekeeping and maintenance, and to assist clinical staff when needed. The role is meant to offer exposure to a clinical veterinary setting. Employees showing the necessary proficiencies listed below can be considered for development in a clinical role.
The Kennel Assistant will be the Direct Report of the Inpatient Lead and / or RVT for questions, if lead is unavailable.

- Entry Level, previous exposure to clinical environment preferred but not mandatory
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deal with an environment of changing priorities.
- Proficiency in all aspects of their department
- Consistent demonstration of Core Values
- Sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and / or move heavy pets and objects.
- Minimum 95% attendance in good standing
- Open availability- weekends and holidays
