Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards across subjects such as Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and facilitate student engagement.
- Conduct classroom instruction with a focus on effective teaching methods and behavior management strategies.
- Provide tutoring and academic advising to support student learning and achievement.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design initiatives.
- Engage in scientific research or laboratory experiences as part of the curriculum where applicable.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of subjects including Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Math, and various scientific disciplines.
- Experience working with students in both classroom settings and private tutoring environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Proven classroom management skills with experience in behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to conduct research or engage in library services for academic purposes.
