Job Summary:
The Warehouse/ Dock Associate is responsible for safely loading and unloading products onto trailers and ensuring secure freight. Our Dock Associate play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods by maintaining high standards of safety and compliance in transferring freight.
What does a typical day in this role look like?
- Lift and load auto parts safely onto trailer
- Scan products to load on trailer
- Unload return products
- Ensure trailers are loaded with route product and that freight is secure
- Inspect product for external damages and report accordingly
- Utilize a pallet jack
- Performs other related duties as assigned
What would make you a good fit for the role?
- Proficient written and verbal communication
- Prior warehouse experience is considered a plus
- Experience handling a hand scanner is a plus
- Experience with a pallet jack is preferred
- Experience with loading and unloading products on trailers is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and lower oddly shaped packaged automotive parts
- Ability to push and pull a pallet jack
- Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds at times
